VECO to Lead Climate Resilience Activities in Big Bay under VCAP Phase 2

 VECO Secures Consultancy Partnership for VCAP Phase 2 Coastal Climate Adaptation

Vunausi Environmental Conservation Organization (VECO) successfully achieved another milestone

towards it’s visions to support and drive climate resilience and environmental conservation community-

based initiatives in Santo communities and Vanuatu as a whole.

VECO in partnership with the Ministry of Climate Change as successfully secured a consultancy contract

to support the achievement of deliverables for VCAP Phase 2 Project - Adaptation to Climate Change in

the Coastal Zone of Vanuatu.

In this consultancy contract, VECO will lead the VCAP SLM activities in Big Bay with close collaboration

with VCAP 2 Project Team, respective Sanma Area council administrators and through alliance with

targeted communities along coastal areas within a six months implementation timeframe.

VECO securing a consultancy contract in partnership with the Vanuatu Ministry of Climate Change

Authority, under the VCAP 2 Project, as one of the Vanuatu national climate change Project, this shows

the unwavering commitment and passion set forth by VECO through its continuous engagement with

government institutions and community lead climate resilient and livelihood initiatives.

On 17 th of April 2026, the consultancy contract was signed by VECO Team Lead Ioan Vijinakarae Vutilolo

and Consultant Team Lead McIntyre Vutilolo.

VECO highly acknowledged the Vanuatu Ministry of Climate Chanage and VCAP 2 Project Team for

the established partnership for VECO to support rollout of VCAP 2 Project activities in Big Bay.
